Privacy Policy

Aperture (aperture.email) is a personal project operated by Blanche Pine LLC. It is a proxy that gives an AI client you control read-only access to the parts of your Gmail you choose, and it runs as a private deployment for a small set of invited accounts. This page says what is stored and what is not.

What Aperture stores

• Your account: your email address.
• Your Google grant: an encrypted refresh token so Aperture can read in-scope mail on your behalf. Google grants Aperture the read-only Gmail scope only, never one that can send, delete, or modify mail.
• Your allow-list: the Gmail label IDs and names you share, plus your time window.
• Your API tokens: a name and a one-way hash. The secret is shown once and never stored.
• An audit log: for each request, the token used, the action, the thread ID, the query, the outcome, and the time.

What Aperture does not store

The contents of your mail. Message bodies, headers, and attachments are fetched from Gmail to answer a request and are not retained. The audit log records that a thread was read, not what it said.

How it is used

Only to run the service. Nothing is used for advertising, sold, or shared with anyone except the hosting providers the service runs on, or where the law requires. Aperture's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Deletion

Disconnecting your mailbox deletes the stored Google grant. To delete your account and everything listed above, email hello@aperture.email.
